the way the best mistake you ever made? I thought about that one for a long time…all the mistakes I’ve made were lessons, so by that description, they were all good. But, I mean, a real mistake that you’re glad you made? The only one I could come up with was that weekend in S.F. with girlfriends. No, not the trip–we had a ball. But, it was what happens when you go shopping with girlfriends.
I spent WAY too much money on a lipstick. I had left my $1 spend $25 on a tube of lipstick
and a photo of my bargain shoes from Nordstrom
and why the cosmetics industry is a ga$illion business.
And while I’m on the subject of saving money, some of you could save LOTS by dialing back on the perfume. A little bit goes a long way. If people can smell you across the room, that’s too much. The perfume sellers are the ones who suggest spraying it into the air and walking through it. Why? You use it up more quickly, then you have to buy more. Clever, huh?
Buy the good stuff. The stuff that come in the tiny bottles. You can put a dab on the back of your neck or on your throat…remember they used to advise applying it on pulse points? At any rate, please don’t spray it on your face. If you’re one of those who overapply, you would never notice this, but when I come home from an event where all the requistite hug/kiss greetings occur, I’ve got it all over me.
