Just 'cuz I know you're the curious type, too, did you ever wonder where the saying, "once in a blue moon" came from? A blue moon is the second full moon within any calendar month. "Once in a blue moon" means something that happens infrequently, just like a blue moon which occurs approximately every 32 months. For your planning purposes, the next blue moon will occur on December 31, 2009. So you still have time to plan your wedding or New Year's Eve soiree with a "blue moon" theme!
If a year from now is still a little too soon to commit (take your time, please), the next blue moon will occur in August of 2012. You can check for future blue moons, full moons, solar/lunar eclipses and other celestial occurrances on my About Dove Releases page. You'll find icons for Sunset, Weather, Holidays, Calendar, Moon Phases, Eclipses, and I even included, for your ease in selecting the loveliest live music for your celebration, a link to Music A Due/Harp & Flute (harpflute.com).
From the Other Celestial Occurrences Department-- If you're planning a 2010 wedding OR if you'd consider delaying your honeymoon for the most romantic trip ever, you might want to consider viewing the total eclipse of the sun from a Tahitian vantage point on July 11, 2010. You will cruise on board the Star Flyer, a 180 passenger sailing yacht with four masts, 21 sails, and a crew of 72, for 10 days including stops in Moorea, Bora Bora, and other paradisiacal ports. Get all the info here.
The Dove Lady's Bon Voyage Soiree will be held on July 5, 2010.
