No, no, no, I am NOT a wedding planner, thanks for asking. I’m a Pisces to the bone, so while one fish would LOVE to be that involved in making someone’s dream wedding come to fruition, the other fish says, “Are you kaRAzy?!” No, not a wedding planner, but I can direct you to some. When hiring a wedding planner, enthusiasm is important, but experience is EVERYTHING, so the person you select should have lots. Think it costs too much money? Did you know a well-connected, been-around-awhile wedding coordinator can actually SAVE you money or at least cover the costs of their services by recommending tried and true, experienced, first-in-their-class wedding professionals at a discount? Yes, way. Some of us even throw in freebies.
Just talked to a bride. I asked her if she’s had fun planning her wedding (it’s this Sunday). She sighed, heavily, and said, “Yeah, but I sure wish I’d had someone do it for me.” Think about what your time is worth. Do you want to be futzing with details, tying favors, or having a complete breakdown the night before your wedding so that you show up for photos looking like you had eye implants? A coordinator will keep you on schedule and take care of all the details and will offer suggestions about things you never even considered. Just like this page. But, no, I’m not a wedding coordinator. But, thanks for asking!
